Get ready, West Elgin, for the 171st Rodney Fair, September 12-14th, 2025! This year’s theme is “Small Town – Deep Roots,” and we’re excited to entertain you. So, grab your ma, your pa and your neighbour too and come along and make those memories that make you go aww!
As I take on the President’s role for my second year, I’m delighted to announce that this year’s Fair will kick off with a heel kickin’, boot tappin’ Friday night. Sue McWilliams and her team of cowgirls and cowboys will be kicking off the fair Friday night with some line dancing! That alongside our annual Ambassador & Prince & Princess Program will be our esteemed local dignitaries. Be sure to check out the rec centre and the many agricultural entries from beans to the largest pumpkins I have ever laid my eyes upon.
On Saturday morning, don’t miss the parade downtown. After a day filled with memories and adventures check out the Truck and Tractor Pull on Saturday night. Enjoy the beer tent, local musical talent, delicious food, and endless fun, including team penning, cattle show, a giant inflatable midway, plus games and vendors – just to name a few spread out across the Fairgrounds all weekend long. Then, please join us Sunday, for the church service and the annual Road Race through town.
At this time, I would like to express my heartfelt thank you to all our sponsors this year. Your generosity is what makes this fair succeed and the backbone of our Fair. Special thanks go to the Municipality of West Elgin, The County of Elgin, and the Province of Ontario.
Finally, I extend my deepest gratitude to our Board Members and Volunteers. Your tireless devotion and hard work all year through have made this weekend of entertainment another success for the history books.
As the President of the Rodney Fair for 2025, and a lifelong resident of Rodney, I am honoured to represent our beautiful Small Town with Deep Roots, which is made up of friends, family and an ever-growing community.
We’re looking forward to a good time. See you at the Fair!
